Dr. Nirain D'Souza is a Foot and Ankle orthopaedic surgeon at the Midwest Orthopaedic Center. His specialties include: bunions, hammertoes, ankle arthroscopy, flatfoot reconstruction, fractures and other operative and non-operative conditions of the foot and ankle.
"My first goal in treating patients is to acknowledge the entire person coming to me for care. To accomplish this, I work to understand everyone’s concerns and questions regarding their condition. Going to the doctor can be stressful, and I hope that through education both in consultation and through information on this website I can fully explain the options available.
My second goal is to empower patients to be an active participant in their treatment plan. Utilizing all my training and education as a physician and orthopaedic surgeon, we together will choose an optimized plan to maximize your outcome. This does not always mean that surgery will be needed. In fact, many common foot and ankle ailments can be successfully treated with medicines, therapy and orthotics.
When non-operative treatment options are not enough to control your symptoms, surgery is often indicated. When selecting surgery, you and I together will examine all of the options, from minimally invasive procedures to more traditional surgery.
To assist you in your treatment, there are many members of the foot and ankle team here at Midwest Orthopaedic Center. All of them are dedicated to serving you with the highest level of professionalism and compassion and are an integral part of optimizing our outcomes."
